Thank you for all of the friends and family who have helped me on my search for family history. Specifically I would like to thank my uncle Phillip Lee Martin, my mother-in-law Charlotte Ann (Isham) Couch, Marjorie Ann (Martin) Souder, and Gary W. Watson, for their considerable time and research.

Given the age of some documents the quality may seem poor, but these are the best copies that can be provided. Unless noted all documents are in PDF format and you will need Adobe Reader to open. It can be obtained for free from the Adobe website.

The links at the left are provided to give an overview of my grandfathers and varying degrees of great grandfathers that I have discovered to date who have given service to our nation or it's predecessor colonies. I started my quest with the knowledge of one ancestor who served in the Revolutionary War from Culpeper County, Virginia. As I began to document the lineage to pass on to my son James William Waldroup I soon discovered many great men in our family whose deeds had long since been covered by dust and I decided as a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom that I needed to discover, document and bring back the memory of my ancestors to pass on to my son and anyone else in the various family lines who would enjoy the knowledge. I will continue to add to and refine the list as more discoveries are made.
